The Effects of Theater Education
The Wayland Public School System supports the power of drama performance in the education of every child. Our curriculum includes courses beginning in 6th grade with all students participating through grade 8.
The Wayland High School offerings range from semester offerings of Communication Studies or Improvisation to year long pursuits including Dramatics Arts. Students may audition for after school productions that put this practice into action. The Wayland High School Theater Ensemble (WHSTE) engages in musicals, plays, the METG Festival and much more! Get involved as an actor, dancer, vocalist, painter, on the Sound Tech and Design team, stage managing, costuming and much, much more! For more info, check out WHSTE!
